The rise of the cyber candidates...

What would you say if candidates in a union election all said exactly the same thing?

Well someone said it already…

Hey Mikey!
No posts yet from Jon 'ET' Rogers, Marsha-Jane "AKA Criminal Record" Thompson, or your good self about the lay elections at Greater London Regional Council yesterday.
Could it possibly be that people prefer the cyber candidates to the robots?
Be seeing you!

Interesting comment Mickey (aka misogynist) H.

Interesting council indeed, the Cyber Candidates did win the election but then what happened to the delegates, the “Robots” won every vote in regard to the motions and reference back, by a large margin including rule changes needing two thirds. Were the cyber delegates deleted?

Taking out McDonnell and "Trust me, I'm a lefty" Cruddas, you could say the Labour leadership/deputyship elections are going the same way.

Hey! Is that Soapdodger Berry? I was talking to the organ grinder, not the monkey. This blog is called Thoughts of Chairperson Mikey, and you surely don't want everyone thinking you have some Borg hive-mind thing going on, do you? And besides which, Mikey is much better at expressing himself. I can vouch for that from the off-blog e-mail exchanges I have enjoyed with him.
Now get that hair cut, Berry.

Soapdodger, I almost forgot - no, your day will not come, and to seek to compare youself in some way with the Provos by adopting their slogan only shows how desperate you are for the most meagre crumb of credibility.

I submitted the post I posted because I want to put it up in my own name!
I had forgotten my password.

Micky, try and keep the personal insults to a minimum, in fact all of you!

Now, as for the elections I am not a delegate so do not know what happened on Thursday...

As for those cyber candidates: I think a more correct comparision would be with those old Ori in Stargate who either want humans to worship them so they can feed off their power, or obliterate those that don't. That seems a very good comparision given the veiled and not so veiled threats flying around this week over a pensions meeting.

Another good comparision would be the diabolic law company WolfRam and Hart from Angel, who were there at the beginning of time according to one episode.

Perhaps those who control the union were also there at the beginning of time?

Maybe they are really fiery beings who think they are gods (just like the Ori)?

Or maybe they are like the Brotherhood of Aurielius from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, led by the vampire known as the Master, and composed of Angel when he was bad, Darla who sired Angel (wonder who she is?) and the mad Spike!

Here was my anonymous blog:

Hey Mickster, keep the insults down! I would have thought the best comparision for those in control is with the Ori of Stargate SG-1. These are zealots who either have you worship at their feet or obliterate you if you don't. It was Merlin, the ascended Ancient, downloaded into daniel jackson's mind, who created a way to destroy these beings in the TV show. The next best sci-fi comparison would be with Wolfram and Hart, the diabolic law firm in Angel. In fact I like that comparison. Mikey

If I removed that comment, which I must have although I don't remember, it mus have been quite insulting to someone.

By the way, are you male or female? There is much speculation about you.

You also realise that your wing in the APF helped to elect Islington's own Socialist Appeal supporter, Pam Woods to the National Forum, don't you?
