Days of Yore in the IMG 2

History of the IMG

Ah

Them days of yore!

I was trying to think who I knew in the South West London branch of the IMG the other day.
I can remember various people in the CC majority:

Bob Pennington and Janet Maguire, Greg Tucker,Graham Topley and Ann Potter, Steve Potter and Judith Arkwright, Val Coultas, Gill Lee and Peter Cooper.
Greg and Peter recruited me.

Then there were the supporters of the Grogan faction: Ray Davies, Connie and Alan Harris, Susan Elliott.

I am sure that there are many others, we were a big SW London branch. I am sure there are some people I didn't even know. I shall be adding those I knew in South East London as well real soon.

If you can remember anyone else or want to be on my list then write to me.

Mikey

Blimey comrade, that's one trip down memory lane.

I was in the same ISG branch as Bob P. and Janet M. (whatever happened to Janet... do you know?) I remember Steve P. as well as he was active in anti-apartheid work. Oh and Val Coultas too.

I wonder what happened to my old yoofy comrades in B'ham (ah, the 1980s...) such a Carl T. (you must remember Carl...?) and Dave R. Karina and Chloe? And must not forget Bernie W.

And the Socialist Action types in B'ham as well... you probably know some as them as well?

I think I may even remember their "party names"... How sad is that?

Just dug this out per chance.
I knew many of these.
Everyone scatterd to the four corners as i, were.
Would you believe that Steve Potter ended up as Principal of Lambeth Academy (where he is now) a privately sponsored institution opposed by all the unions?
Some travelled afar, indeed.
